The ISS believers will say the spacewalk is being performed in the shadow of the earth and this explains the darkness but this does not explain the “light loss”:

Underwater nighttime scuba dive videos have the same lighting issues. Maybe NASA turns the lights off in the Neutral Boyancy Lab for "spacewalks"?
