I have been immersed in research and development, specifically examining the work of Walter Lippmann, author of The Phantom Public. He diagnosed what I term the Psyop Entertainment Complex a century ago along with its function. What I refer to as “mind war” is described in his book as a sublimated or denatured civil war. Instead of armed conflict, it is channeled into debates, rhetoric, and media stories.
I am establishing a firmer basis for the Offworld Stage critique of media. In a few days, I’ll have part one of The Great Deconstruction published.
